"Job creation" stupidity

I keep hearing about the government trying to "create jobs", and I always thought how stupid that is since every day people invent things to automate tasks so that they need LESS people to do the work. So, what happens when one day, everything can be done by technology? Everyone starves to death except the ones in control of technology. WHY DON'T PEOPLE SEE THIS?!

Horizontal Blue Lightning flash?

saw the (second) weirdest thing i've ever seen tonight.

MikEms said he saw a blue flame outside, so i went to look, and we waited a minute or so, then there was this blue flash, sort of like a lightning bolt going across from the neighbours yard to right past us (there was a low wall inbetween, but we were semi-outside)... no thunder really, just a little soft 'bang' sparky noise...

a minute or so later there was another blue flash coming from the neighbour house but it didn't come across to us.

both times it was during a strong gust of wind.

and the clouds were pretty low to the ground, some light parts and further away some really really dark clouds in a straight line...

tried to look up some info, but nothing really on lightning that close that doesn't come from the sky.

later on we saw a few more 'flashes' in the sky higher up, no thunder either.

then it started raining, and now we hear a few rumbles of thunder every now and then.

yes my writing might seem a little rushed and 'weird', but i'm still a bit freaked out by the whole thing :P

as for the first weirdest thing i've ever seen, i'll write about that another day ;P

NFS Most Wanted & stuffs

Been playing Need for Speed: Most Wanted a helluva lot the past couple of weeks @ MikEms place :) Finished career mode, and then started it over again. We also tested all the car's top speeds and acceleration, made a nice little chart which you can see here if you really want to :P

Finally got around to installing a little RSS reader on my site so I can include this and just about anything else on any of my sites. Was so simple, took like 5 minutes. Go figure.

i'm leaving tomorrow on a plane to go to MikEms' place for a month or so, and i'm not taking my computer with, so might be a couple of days before i add anything again ;)
